This is my first time ever using care. com, have always just used referrals as my way of helping families out but I am looking to expand my horizons just like you are. I have been caring for children for 10 years, starting from family friends and now have grown to helping families with little ones in a professional setting as well. I am a college graduate, with my bachelors in biology and a minor in chemistry. I am currently enrolled in a nursing program for my continuing education of an RN degree. I was a lead counselor at a summer camp (camp longhorn) where I was responsible for 30+ children at times. As well, I worked at a daycare facility, North Star Academy, where I specialized in after school care and tutoring. As well, I am a certified USA swimming swim coach where I teach children from the ground up in all strokes to proficiency. Ashley is fantastic. She was our nanny for over a year and had my two-year old daughter and our six-month old son (took care of him from when he was six weeks old). She is very responsible, was always on time, had great communication, and worked well with my kids. I appreciated that she would do several activities with my daughter and would spend a lot of time with her outside. She was flexible and understanding with our schedule and receptive to feedback. She also helped us find another nanny when she had to leave, which made the transition seamless. I would gladly hire her again and happily recommend her.
