Hi! My name is Ashley, and I'm a 19-year-old college student currently enrolled in the nursing program at Hofstra University. I have a strong passion for working with children and have gained experience in a variety of childcare settings. At college, I work at a daycare where I care for children ranging from infants to preschoolers. I've also spent the past two summers working at Sanford Camps, taking on many responsibilities. In 2023, I was a junior counselor and tennis instructor for children ages 3 to 13. In 2024, I was the head counselor for the kindergarten group, leading daily activities and creating a fun, safe environment. I also worked in the extended care program, supervising campers of all ages. This summer, I'm excited to start a new role as a paraprofessional with the Early Years Program, supporting students in an educational setting. I am responsible, dependable, and truly enjoy helping children grow and have fun!

Ashley is truly exceptional when it comes to dog care. From the very first moment she met my dogs—a 60-pound labradoodle and a 10-pound bichon—it was clear she had a natural connection with them. They adored her right away, which is no small feat considering how different their personalities and energy levels are. What really amazed me was how effortlessly Ashley communicated with them. It was like she spoke their language. Whether it was keeping my labradoodle calm and focused or making my bichon feel secure and seen, she had a calm, confident way of speaking and interacting with them that they instantly responded to. They listened, followed her direction, and clearly trusted her completely. More than anything, you can tell Ashley truly loves animals. She bonded with both dogs quickly and treated them as if they were her own. Her care, attentiveness, and joy in being with them gave me complete peace of mind. I can’t recommend her highly enough!
