About Ashley

I like working with kids because they bring such a unique energy that many adults lose as they age. Childlike wonder can come from all types of things and I feel it's very important to foster a positive, supportive environment so children can be curious openly. I'm looking for a job that allows me to play with the child. I've experienced how much screens can take from children's creativity and attention spans and I'd prefer to feel like I'm helping get away from technology time instead of watching a child scroll. I've always been around kids since I have a large family but I formally started working with children when I was 16 as a summer camp leader at my local theatre. In my spare time, I like to make art in different mediums. Painting, drawing, crafting, sewing- I've always enjoyed creating and my degree in digital media art has allowed me to have a multitude of different mediums I continue to use to this day. I do enjoy going on walks and doing yoga as outside activities.
