About Ashleigh

I was born to be a momma!! Babysitting was my first job when I was 10 and caring for children has been my favorite job (paid and otherwise!) I loved staying home to raise my first two (who are now 18 and 19) - I also had the pleasure of keeping my nephews during the week who were around the same age and we called it Auntie's Schoolhouse - 5 kids under age 5. It was a dream! As they entered school, my brother had my niece and nephew and I enjoyed babysitting them as well. I've been called Mary Poppins throughout my life and I take it as a high compliment. I am now a proud momma of an 18-month-old boy. I am just fascinated by how quickly children learn and grow - I really enjoy teaching my son. He's such a sponge and has been reading and spelling simple words for months now. Starting with phonics worked with my older two as well!! I am happy, patient (even with adults, it's easy with little ones!!), laid back, and enjoy making music, painting and being outside in the sunshine.
