I have spent 3 years of taking care of my grandma who began to have dementia/Alzheimer's. I cooked for her, cleaned, helped her bathe, dress, exercise and just spend quality time together. Taking care of her lit a fire in me to want to give people the best care possible moving forward in my life. I want to give care, that I would want for myself. I currently assist with elderly and people with special needs. some of the tasks are helping in the restroom, using a hoyer, gait belt, assisting people in wheelchairs, eating, games, and daily activities to help them be as independent as possible while still providing support. I love seeing people succeed and being a part of that.
