About Ashlee

I would like to tell you about Ashlee. Ashlee has been caring for my mom since June 2015. My mom had late stages of dementia and Ashlee took care of her like my mom, was her mom. She would get her up in the morning, put her to bed at night, change her incontinence garments, brush her teeth, bathe her and all other personal care. Ashlee always took it upon herself to do anything extra that she saw my mom AND dad needed. Ashlee is the most compassionate, professional, knowledgeable caregiver I have ever met. As my moms illness progressed, she was not able to stand or walk much since her legs were so weak. When myself and my dad were unsure of what to do, Ashlee took charge and created a system to help my mom. Sometimes my mom would get scared and mad, which is hard for a daughter to see, but Ashlee always calmed her and reassured her that she would be OK. My mom would then give her a hug and kiss :) She continually provided suggestions to help us also become better caregivers when she was not around. Ashlee also formed a bond with my dad and myself who also needed her support, we kept her busy :). My mom passed away last week and has left our family devastated. Ashlee is still providing us support and our family gained a friend, sister and daughter. I'm so thankful that Ashlee came into our lives and I would hire her again when the need shall arise.
