About Ashelyn

My 8 years of experience began when I was in high school, I volunteered at a daycare and babysat for multiple families. I graduated from ECSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Studio Art Minor. In school I excelled in classes about infant and childhood development and principles of learning. After graduation I worked as an ABA therapist working in-home with children (3yrs-15yrs) diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I worked at a daycare, where I became known as the "patient and fun" teacher. I remained calm when children were upset and enjoyed being energetic and playful throughout the day. I was responsible for serving meals, cleaning, changing diapers, potty training, and teaching them colors, shapes, letters, numbers, and social skills. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified English as a Second/Foreign Language Teacher. My education and experience allow me to approach childcare in a respectful and encouraging way that benefits children as they grow and learn.
