About Ascha

I'm a creative caretaker who loves nurturing young imaginations! My background is in journalism, and I am currently in graduate school for film directing. I live in the South Loop with my partner and our two cats. In my spare time I enjoy baking, painting, and spending time outside. I believe in minimal screen time and maximum play, enrichment and conversations with children. I studied child development and earned a minor in psychology during my undergraduate years. I've had Red Cross CPR training for babysitting as well as lifeguarding, though my certifications are no longer current. I started working with kids when I was about 14, and I will be turning 30 this year. Although building my creative career was the main focus of my 20's, I'm really excited to get creative in a different way by working with kiddos again this summer!
