About Asata

Hi! My name is Asata and I'm a junior at Spelman College, double majoring in Art History and Economics. Originally from Chicago, I've always had a passion for working with children and creating a warm, engaging environment for them. Outside of my studies, I'm actively involved in beloved my sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Spelman Student Government Association. I also mentor third-grade girls at a local elementary school, where I help foster their confidence, curiosity, and creativity. In my free time, I enjoy reading, practicing yoga, and exploring new activities that keep me active and engaged.
