I've worked with people with disabilities over the past 5 years through Camp CAMP in Center Point, TX. The beauty of it comes from how they never turn people away, allowing campers with all ranges of support needs. Through this, I've worked with medical/assistive devices including: respiratory devices like shake vests and cough assists, CPAP, a wide range of AAC devices, hearing aids, ostomy bags, catheters, feeding pumps such as Infinity pumps and gravity feeds, VNS, nose cannulas, nebulizers, and suction machines. I've also worked with a wide range of disabilities including: Autism, Cerebral Palsey, PWS, Spina Bifida, Chromosome Deletion, among more. Additionally, I've worked with a vast range of complex care medical needs, as well as high behavioral support needs. I'm CPI trained, have experience with therapeutic holds, and physical or verbal redirection methods. I'm studying Mechanical Engineering and Spanish at the University of Tulsa and looking to go into assistive technology.
