About Arthandra

My name is Arthandra and I am the loving mother of two kids that I care for each day. In the past I have experience caring for two of my elderly relatives. The first was my favorite uncle. Unfortunately he passed away after suffering from prostate cancer. I was his caregiver. I helped him with his day today routine such as meal prep, laundry, and house cleaning. One of my most fondest Memories was preparing soup for him from scratch because he did not like a lot of salt in his food. The second relative was my aunt she suffered from Alzheimer's disease. It was sad to see her diminish in front of my eyes because she didn't have any children I was also her caregiver. I helped her with things such as providing her with companionship by reading to her. I also would help her get dressed to attend church. In her later stages I would also assist her by feeding her. I think the most important thing to keep in mind when caring for seniors is love, patience, and understanding.
