About Arryonna

Hi, my name is Arry! I'm an active duty Sailor currently living in Bethesda, Maryland. When I was 13, my mother became a licensed foster parent. She went on to adopt three children, one of which is on the autism spectrum. I watched as she cared for children who had experienced horrendous conditions and began to share her passion for child welfare. I joined the military at 18 and after about three years of non-stop trainings and deployments, I asked a coworker if she needed someone to watch her son while she worked late. Since then, I've been volunteering to care for the children of my colleagues. I'm unable to become a foster parent as a single Sailor, but will (hopefully) become a CASA volunteer soon I'm on Care. com because I love working with kids and I truly care about child safety and development. I can empathize with how scary it is to hand your child to a stranger. I'd like to provide a safe environment so maybe parents can finally have an stress-free date night.
