About Arlette

As a native French speaker, I have many years of experience tutoring French in college, and after college. While in college, I was the Professor's Assistant to the three French professors in the Modern Languages Department at my university. I worked with all the students who were learning French, from the Freshmen to the Seniors. I also did an Independent Study during which I worked with a Senior on her Honors' thesis, in French. Her work focused on a French speaking author from Senegal. I have also had the pleasure of teaching French to toddlers and to little children. For three years, I also worked with a student who was in high school. He went from having C grades to straight As, and he did very well in French his last two years in high school. I studied foreign languages, philosophy, and communications in high school. I have been learning (and studying) foreign languages for a long time. I enjoy speaking French, and sharing my knowledge of the language (and cultures) with others.
