For the last two years I have worked on an Oncology unit in a hospital as a patient care partner, a nurses aide if you will. I have cared for people of all ages and all illnesses as we often get patients with other illnesses and injuries aside from cancer on our med/surg unit, including end of life care cases. It is always my goal to make my patients and their families to feel like family, I want them to be comfortable and receive the care that they deserve. Being a light in someone's life during the most difficult parts of theirs is extremely rewarding, there is no other feeling like seeing someone smile when they haven't been able to, simply because they know you truly care for them. My CPR certification gets updated every 3 months. I have experience in feeding, bathing, hygiene in general, light housekeeping, drain care, catheter care, glucose monitoring, ambulation etc. I would love to add to my care and help even more people live as well as they can.
