When we hired Ariel my youngest was about a year old and on a full-time feeding pump and tube and my oldest was three and we were new into his autism diagnosis. I would not have wanted anyone else by my side through it all as their caretaker. A young girl (fresh 18 but so mature!) who was a stranger quickly became the saving grace for our family. Never late, always flexible, dependable, trustworthy, every positive adjective you can think of she embodies. She was always willing to learn and adapt to our ever changing life. She is still a large part of my boys' lives even though she is not their nanny as they have aged into pre-K and public school. We love her and she will always be family.
