Hi I'm Arianna! Let me tell you a little bit about me and why I think you should choose me to create a safe, secure and loved environment for your child. Who I am: I am a college student currently attending Anne Arundel Community College to become a nurse. I'm an older sister of 5 and have taken care of them all as they grew up also meaning cleaning and cooking for them (psa. I like organizing and making sure everything is nice and tidy). I am also fluent in both English and Spanish if you wanted to teach your child both languages as they grew up. I have had about 5 dogs in my life from small chihuahuas to big german shepherds. I can also provide my own transportation. In the past years I have gotten certified in CPR and First Aid, I also have certifications in the IT field and love to do science if or when your child needs help with homework. I am a fun, outgoing, adventurous young adult but the saftey of your child will always be my main priority !
When Arianna began working with our family she quickly proved to be adept at all infant related tasks: warming bottles, pace feeding, burping, changing clothing, changing diapers, emptying the diaper pail as needed, preventing and caring for diaper rash, infant bathing, swaddling, using safe sleep practices as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics, washing and sanitizing baby bottles and pump parts, changing crib sheets and changing pad covers as needed, treating stains, washing, drying, folding, and putting away baby clothing, and providing baby enrichment activities such as tummy time, reading, and walks around the neighborhood. As our child developed she helped him learn how to sit up, stand and walk. She has prepared meals and introduced our child to solid foods, assisted them in learning how to use utensils, a sippy cup and now an open cup. Arianna has played an important role in helping our child to learn and develop language skills in understanding and speaking both English and Spanish. Arianna has been thoughtful and creative in finding ways to help our toddler develop their fine motor skills via crafts and sensory activities. She has taught and practiced with our toddler manners and tidying up. She has been entrusted to drive with our child to the library, local Playseums, regional parks, farms, and community events. She has accompanied us on pediatrician, pediatric specialist, and pediatric dental appointments to learn and offer support. Beyond demonstrating that she is able to complete the most essential tasks of caring for an infant and now toddler, what has most endeared us to Arianna is her intelligence, common sense, kindness, warmth, sensitivity, tact, reliability, and honesty. Our family has trialed several other alternate care providers and not one has come close to meeting the qualities our family desires in a nanny/sitter. Something that we most value about Arianna is her practical judgement. She always dresses our child appropriately for the weather, she can be trusted to check the pantry and fridge for food and snacks and let us know if something needs to be restocked, she thinks ahead to what our child might or will need on a trip out, she is not afraid to ask for supplies to make our child and her daily experience together more enriching, and she takes initiative by letting us know when she thinks our child has grown out of something be it clothing or toys. I can always depend on Arianna to show up on time or provide advanced notice if she will be running late, is sick, or needs time off. Arianna is currently working towards a nursing degree, and we have valued her interest in caring for the health of children and her growing medical knowledge. She is CPR/First Aid certified and has previous experience lifeguarding. We feel very safe leaving our child with Arianna. I can trust her to communicate with us throughout the day via text, videos, pictures, and drive sharing to let us know how our child is doing, if they are heading out of the house, and when they will be back. Over the course of nearly two years our family has developed a strong, trusting, and caring bond with Arianna, and we highly recommend her. She will be an invaluable asset to any family that hires her.
