About Ariane

I graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelor's Degree in elementary education and a Master's Degree in special education. I have been a Kindergarten/first/second grade teacher in a special education classroom for the past 10 years. I have also been tutoring for the past six years. I am trained in the Teacher's College Reading and Writing Program, Fountas and Pinnell guided reading benchmark leveled assessment system, HMH Reading curriculum, LETRS intervention program, FUNdations Phonics curriculum, and EngageNY Math curriculum. I have extensive experience working with students with disabilities who have IEP's, which includes designing and implementing goal specific lessons, monitoring students progress to meet their goals, designing IEP's around students' needs/learning styles, and keeping in constant communication with parent's about their child's progress.
