I am very organized and I bring a personalized caregiver control book that I write according to my patient's information, medication control, daily routine, fluids intake, meals, etc. I also help families with ideas to make everyone's life easier, according to the patient needs. I speak English, Portuguese and Spanish (I also work as a per-diem Portuguese-English Interpreter). I have a very flexible schedule and I am looking for a full-time or part-time position. I contracted with Aparecida to take care of an elderly at-risk-of-flight gentleman with dementia over a 4 to 6 week period. I needed to identify an appropriate facility and then move him and his wife to a locked down dementia unit for he and his wife. Aparecida is incredibly caring and kind and took very good care of this confused gentleman. She has a natural ability to easily form a relationship with the elderly, even if they have cognitive issues. When this gentleman tried to go out at night, Aparecida, was able to cajole him into staying put, by getting him focused on something else. She is very conscientious.
