About Anya

I'd describe my personality as bubbly, positive, and friendly. I like working with kids because they have such a different view on the world. I've always had a passion for nurturing children and indulging in their creativity. I believe you can learn so much from a child, just like they can learn so much from you. I have been a family baby sitter since I was 10, but only began to work with other children when I was in high school. I baby sat for a nonverbal toddler for about 2 years. Afterwards, I spent a year as an elementary education major in college and have spent much time in classrooms as an intern. In my spare time, I like to write poetry, read, watch movies and tv, go to Disney, sing and play instruments, play video games, and spend time with my dog, friends, and family. One thing you should know about me is that I have a passion for teaching, despite not pursuing an education degree anymore, and am available to assist in tutoring as well!
