I am moving to Cleveland mid-end of July ! I have had experience with the ages 3months-12years old, whether that be nannying for them or having them in a classroom. My style of nannying and what's worked best for me in the past: Clear expectations; consistency; positive reinforcement; learning by play; encouraged independence; participation in household activities that encourage children to take care of their living environment; love with affection and words; staying on schedule with meals/naps. I approach children with empathy and understanding while also holding firm to necessary boundaries. Safety is always a priority. When it comes to discipline I approach with distractions, explanations, natural consequences, reward incentives.
