About Ann

I have 35 years of experience working with children in educational and hospital settings. My favorite activities with children are reading, pretend play and arts & crafts. I particularly like preparing children for events which may be challenging such as new sibling, starting the school year, going for a doctor visit or whatever the parents would like to address. I'd describe my personality as outgoing, a good listener and humor. I'm looking for a job that has an emphasis on play, reading readiness & creativity. I started working with kids when I was in college in the lab school. I then went on to teach in graduate school & eventually learned about working with hospitalized children. I have worked in day care, schools & hospitals. In my spare time, I like to read, arts & crafts & volunteering. One thing you should know about me is that I am passionate about advocating for children and families.
