I am a special education teacher with many years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities. Currently I teach young children with severe autism. We work on communication, including sign, sight word recognition, and PECS. We also work on social skills, hygiene and community safety. In the past, I have worked with adults with similar backgrounds. I have also worked as a case manager and health educator for people with epilepsy and, more recently, with children with mild disabilities such as learning disabilities and ADHD. My own children are grown and I have more time to offer other families in the evenings and on weekends.
