Whether caring for our elderly or our children, I believe in being patient, respectful and upbeat. I was formerly a paralegal, but have spent the last 7 yrs. as a nanny. Many of the attributes I bring to that job are the same qualities one needs when caring for elders. Besides assisting with daily tasks, I like to be fully engaged (not on my phone). Our elders need to know they are being heard & treated with dignity. I am certified in CPR & First Aid, but mostly what I bring to the table is a desire to be helpful, thoughtful & bring you peace of mind. Being somewhat older myself, elderly people tend to find me relatable. Caring for them is paramount, but the need for good companionship can't be overstated. Conversations help them stay cognitively nimble & add richness to their lives. You will find I am VERY reliable & keep things tidy.
