I would not recommend Sofie to anyone. She was our full time nanny for two months for our 18 month old. Out of no where, she claimed she had to go renew her visa in her home country, and would keep us updated throughout the process and would be back in a short amount of time, within 1-2 weeks. My husband is Brazilian so we understand visa situations, but that wasn’t the issue here. With absolutely no notice, we had no help with our daughter and we both work full time jobs. She did not update us once - we had to reach out to her twice to hear any communication from her. After that we never heard from her, she just left us in the dark and it’s been over a month. I believe it was her plan all along to just leave us. She is not trustworthy and she is selfish to just leave a family like that. I hope no other family experiences this and stays away from her care.
