About Anne

I am a gal who has a lot of experience with children, little ones right through young adults! My family now consists of my husband and our eight children! Granted they are not all at home any longer. My three oldest daughters are adults, two have children. I also have two young adult step children who have been in my life for the last 10 years. My husband, who works for UNE, and I share our home with the youngest of this combined family! They are 17, 13 and 11. Two of my grandchildren live only one block away! For the past 12 years I have been a stay at home (not much!) mom and have focused mainly on helping to create a great 'family' environment. It has worked - I have every reason to be super proud of all the kids in our family. Before moving to Maine I lived in Arkansas where I was part of a Restaurant family. My early early years after attending Indiana University, were spent in Colorado. While in Colorado, I not only began my family but became a Children's Ski Instructor for Vail Associates, Beaver Creek, Colorado. I did this work for two winter seasons and then I opened the first Group Day Care Home, Mother Goose, in Eagle-Vail, CO which I ran for the next two years. After those experiences I was fortunate to be a stay at home mom. My life is always filled with children ~ why not ~ they have great energy and fabulous minds! My preferences for babysitting are toddlers thru preteens.
