I truly enjoy helping elderly people get through their day with as much happiness, ease and dignity as possible. Losing one's ability to walk, see and hear over time is a very difficult trial as old age progresses, and I think it is extremely important for caregivers not only to be complete in taking care of people, but also to be pleasant, cheerful and fun to be with in the course of the day or evening. Also, elderly people are very interesting with lots of experiences that can be fascinating to listen to and I greatly appreciate that and like hearing about their life experiences. Elder care is a rewarding type of work for those who are willing to put in the effort to make the time interesting for all concerned. I am a good cook, and do not mind light housekeeping and transporting people to doctor's appointments or doing errands.
