We hired Annaya for a long-term role caring for our toddler. She had real strengths: good with age-appropriate play and activities, a solid work ethic with light housework and cooking, and a good memory for details. This wasn't an easy review to write. The issue was phone use while our son was awake. We found her on her phone during his mealtime, and my husband asked her directly not to use her phone while our son was awake. I later found her on her phone again during his afternoon snack while our son pointed and made sounds trying to get her attention, with no response. What stood out most was her response. We raised this calmly and gave her the benefit of the doubt. Rather than work through the feedback, she framed it as us not trusting her and resigned right before she was supposed to arrive the next day.
