I am a 25-year-old CTRS (Recreation Therapist) and have lots of experience with children and adults with different abilities. My degree was recreation therapy and I gained years of structured education and experience learning about psychology, therapies & disabilities. I have worked at sleep away camps for kids with various disabilities and have been working in the world of adaptive sports for the last 4 years (specifically skiing, flat water sports, mountain biking, wheelchair tennis, special Olympics programs and other activities). I am a certified lifeguard and a strong swimmer. I am epi pen certified and capable of supporting medical needs/emergencies. I know some ASL and have some experience working with nonverbal friends as well. I absolutely love recreation and will always promote the therapeutic benefits it can have! I am looking forward to supporting families in need :) (fun fact to set me apart-- I used to train service dogs for veterans with disabilities and loved it!)
