About Anna

Hi, My name is Anna! I am a 31-year-old college graduate in fine arts and my most recent job is as an art teacher at Spiva Center for the arts in Joplin, MO. The majority of my experience working with children comes from a classroom setting. All of my teaching at Spiva has centered around elementary age children, and I have participated as the head teacher in Spiva's yearly 3rd grade field trips which take place every year from February through April. I love being able to connect with kids on their level and being able to create a safe, fun and enriching environment that they will feel respected and valued in. Beyond making art and doing fun craft activities with children, I enjoy being able to nurture their endless imagination whether that be through storytelling, outdoor adventuring, or helping them explore the infinite questions the world has to offer. From outer space, to dinosaurs, to the deep sea, I love stoking their curiosity and learning along with them as an added bonus.
