There are those that love children. It is hard not to smile at a little one. Then, there are those that not only love children, but respect them. Regardless of their age, all children have a certain individuality that deserves to be guided, enhanced and nurtured. Respecting a child as their own person is what makes a good teacher, caregiver & partner to their families . This is where I come in. Ever since my mother took me to get my babysitting license at the age of 13, I have always had this connection with children. Within my own family, friends or even a perfect stranger whose child just comes up to me, I have been known as the one that "gets children." Not only do I understand their development, but I value the world through their eyes, particularly early childhood years. To be another person a child can trust in the absence of their parents, is most rewarding. I only want my influence to help build confidence in the children and their families as they grow together in this life.
