About Anna Maria

I am a professional outdoor educator with over five years experience, and I absolutely love spending time around kids and mentoring them. I've worked or volunteered with kids for about a decade, doing everything from nannying to martial arts training to leading wilderness expeditions to horse riding lessons. I love finding active and engaging ways to spend time with kids, especially in the outdoors! I'd describe my personality as fun-loving, adventurous, and calm, and like to encourage kids to grow their own skills of curiosity, problem-solving, critical thinking, and self-confidence. I like working with kids because they are at such an incredible developmental age, where so much of the world is novel and new, and their curiosity and verve for life inspires my own! I started working with kids when I was a teenage, and now have build a career as a professional experiential educator, leading wilderness trips for young people.
