About Annalise

I am a 34-year-old PhD student in Anthropology at the University of Oregon. I have been babysitting for over 15 years and have cared for children of all ages, including special needs children. In addition to babysitting for dozens of families, I have nannied for two families with children ages 0-3, and for two families with children ages 8-12. I taught swimming for over 10 years. I also served in the Peace Corps as a Youth Development Specialist and am fluent in Spanish. I am not currently CPR/First Aid certified, but was in the past and am willing to renew certifications. I believe in education through play. I am very energetic and love to engage with kids through art, reading, music, and playtime inside and outdoors. I have a car and can provide transportation. Annalise was a wonderful after school nanny for our two kids. Not only was she responsible, communicative, and compassionate, she initiated fun creative projects (and assisted the kids in clean-up, so there was no added work for parents!!) and supported the kids to complete their chores. We would definitely rehire Annalise as a nanny or occasional babysitter. If you are looking for someone to support a busy activity schedule, make sure your kids aren't always on their devices and to make things run smooth, talk to Annalise.
