About Anna

I have known Anna for the past four years through my personal involvement as a volunteer in the band program at the high school, and as the friend of two of my own children who are now in college. She is a very kind, patient, polite, responsible, hard-working person who has a gift with young children. I knew that Anna babysat for others and I also knew she volunteered regularly in the nursery at our church, so when we became foster parents to a three-year old last year I paid special attention to her interactions with our new daughter when Anna came to visit my adult children. She is a natural with children. She interacts at an appropriate level with the little ones and although nurturing and sweet, she knows how to set boundaries and help youngsters learn to do what is age-appropriate. I have had Anna babysit our daughter numerous times for anywhere between 2-10 hours at a time. Our daughter loves her and calls her "my friend". She respects her a lot and is very excited when I tell her that Anna will watch her. In addition to Anna babysitting for me, she volunteered to help with school in another community that was short on help. I served alongside her and was so impressed with her ability to engage the children, keep them on task, and make the half-days lots of fun. The children love her and the church staff were so grateful for her help because she participated in all the activities and wasn't just an observer. She is terrific and I highly recommend her.
