Anna is an incredible Nanny, caregiver and baby sitter. She helped us on weekends and the occasional weeknight for 3 or 4 years with our now 9 year old son. She constantly engaged him with fun activities when they stayed home but would strive to get him out of the house experiencing life as often as possible going to the playground, the climbing gym, the park, local town events, etc. When at home she always kept him positively entertained! Whether he wanted to play sports with her, make music with her (she is a gifted pianist and singer), bake together, do science experiments, make real home movie productions (like, seriously legit thematic movies with multiple scenes, a plot, costumes etc), play board games or anything else she was always game and in it to win with him. She was very good at keeping him OFF SCREEN without complaints! In addition, she would always be willing to be firm and make him do the things he didn't necessarily want to do but had to do. For instance, he was slower to develop his fine motor dexterity, so we we really needed to get him drawing, coloring, and writing more and she made it fun for him and helped him practice that a lot. Anna also is authentic and you always felt like you were getting the real her (and the real her is a kind, patient, fun and strong young woman!). But this helped the whole family develop trust faster with her. It also made it easy for us, the parents, to be around her in the house because we felt like we could be our real selves too.
