I am an early education teacher with a passion for nurturing children through their development. I have a great deal of experience caring for newborns, twins, toddlers and children with special needs as both a nanny, and a teacher. I am currently certified in pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid. Anica cared for my four cats while I was vacationing.  She spent time with them, fed them and kept their litter boxes very clean.  Anica is very trustworthy and competent.  I never had a worry when Anica cared for my pets!

I have actually known Anica for a long time. When I had to go out of town for work last year, and it was longer trip than normal, I asked her to watch my 100lb German Shepherd. If I'm being honest, I was actually jealous of how much fun they were having together (she sent numerous pics). I have always known her to be an animal lover, and I would have no hesitation in asking her to watch my buddy again.

Anica was amazing and very kind and went above and beyond for my animals. 

Anica and I have known each other for over 20 years. We were housemates in San Francisco, California, where we both enjoyed careers as childcare providers in a very competitive market. Over the years I have witnessed Anica's skills as a caregiver for children of all ages, as well as persons with special needs, elderly persons and even animals. My perspective is that of a trained Montessori teacher with 15+ years of classroom experience. You might say this background makes me highly critical and choosy! And here's what I have to say about Anica: She is everything one would want in a caregiver, in that she's extremely professional, thoughtful, willing to take direction, a good listener and communicator, punctual, always learning new things to improve her value, compassionate, kind, smart and FUN. But what really sets her apart is her ability to truly connect with those she cares for. She is able to be RIGHT THERE with whomever she is working, making authentic, profound connections with all she meets. This extraordinary ability to be with someone and appreciate and support who they are, combined with her sense of joy and fun and pragmatism, make her a truly unique individual. When I have my own child, she will be the first person I contact for childcare, and you would be lucky to have her professional support too.

Anica worked in my classroom for several years. My students were always excited when it was "Anica Day". She always made them feel important and special. Through the years I had several special need students (physical and/or health impaired, LD, EI, EMI and Autistic). These students felt safe and secure when working with Anica. They thrived under her supervision. Any parent would be fortunate to have her partner with them in the care of their children.

Anica has been working for us for over 2 years. We travel a lot for work and pleasure and previously had no one to care for our pets or household while we were away. Not only do we trust her with our pets, but also to stay in our home while we are away. She is an amazingly trustworthy person which gives us the peace of mind that things will be in order when we return. She treats all of our pets as if they were her own and waters our veggie and flower gardens. We were new to the Manitou Beach area and Anica has made our transition an easy one.

When my mother's health was failing and she needed more help with everyday life, we hired Anica.  I was so grateful and Mom loved her from the moment they met.  Having this additional help and support was wonderful.  Anica cared for my Mom until she went into Hospice.  My family and I think the world of Anica and we would not hesitate to hire her again. 


Anica is the best! She house sits and takes great care of our pets and our home. Anica has worked for us for over 2 years. We have no worries when she is here. We live on a farm and it's been in my husband's family 100 years. We travel quite often, as we are both retried. We travel often. When Anica walks in a room, she lights it up. We would recommend her for many jobs. When we return home, it's like we never left.

Anica was our amazing full-time nanny during the end of my pregnancy with our 5th child and while I was recovering from surgery. She took care of our four kids ages 2.5-7, the house, traveling with the kids to errands, etc. I feel completely at ease with leaving our children in Anica's care. She is personable, timely, organized, loving, funny and cares passionately about children she has in her life. She is still working for us part-time because our kids love her so much and we do too.

Anica is a natural with children, the elderly, people with special needs and pets. Anica cared for our daughter from newborn until age 7 and has made a very positive impact on her. In addition, she has cared for our pets, assisted us with organizational tasks and has been a joy to be around. Her strengths lie in exhibiting positive energy, having a hands on, interactive approach to care and showing empathy and compassion to those around her. She is a natural. I would recommend her without hesitation and I would rehire her in a minute.
