I have had the distinguished privilege in volunteering for an organization near my home. This organization focuses in promoting and providing a safe, warm environment and care for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. Working with the organization for three years enabled me to provide quality service to the families and people I worked with. I love teaching; being so, my role as a volunteer was to promote fun and interactive activities which would allow the children and adults to feel as their participation was optional yet valued to a high degree. By playing music, I strongly believe these individuals were given the satisfaction of contributing to a group and were able to form beautiful relationships with other volunteers and fellow peers without having the pressure of maintaining eye contact or speaking.
