Hi. My name is Angelica. I am a skilled caregiver who takes great pride in my work. I consider it a privilege to assist seniors with their daily routine, & find ways to improve the quality of their lives. For the last 15 years I have been caring for seniors in their homes, providing hands-on care such as bathing, medication disbursement, meals, companionship, housekeeping, & errands. I have also served as a hospice volunteer and am trained in providing end of life care. My prior training as a CRMA, as well as my college education in mental health & social work, has equipped me to handle the challenges of aging, such as dementia and Alzheimer's . I hired Angelica first to help care for my elderly mother in her home on Peaks Island and later to spend significant time with her every week and help her get to dr's appointments.  I consider myself extremely lucky to have found Angelica.  Her levels of competence and caring were as high as I can imagine. She knew a great deal about elder care and health care.   She made the last few years of my mother's life far better than they otherwise would have been.   I cannot imagine someone better as a caregiver.

I originally hired Angelica as a caregiver at an agency I worked for. She is very knowledgeable and has great instincts. It is my great pleasure to recommend Angelica B. to you for your consideration.  Angelica came to us in November of 2013 as a caregiver for our then 96 year old father. His failing health and increased dementia required us to find full time 24-hour care for him in order that he might stay in his own home as he had always wished. At the outset, the position required our caregivers to assist in all activities of daily living, from assistance with hygiene and medication management, planning and serving nutritious meals, light housekeeping and most especially, providing comfort and companionship. 
Angelica was a part of a team of four caregivers from that time through the end of Dad's life in June of this year. She was our lead caregiver and worked 48 to 72 hour shifts, staying with Dad for two to three days consecutively. In addition to the duties mentioned above, Angelica did all the grocery and supply shopping for the team, and was in charge of all medication management, prescription refill and, most recently, coordination with Hospice. Over the past year and a half, the position has transitioned from companionship to custodial and finally to end of life care as Dad declined and has recently passed away. Through all of these transitions, Angelica has been outstanding. Her knowledge and recognition of each stage, ability to suggest and implement changes in care, and her attention to each detail, made an incredible difference in the quality of Dad s life and in the comfort and confidence his family could experience.
Above and beyond all her knowledge and ability, however, is Angelica herself. She truly cares. She is calm, loving and intuitive with a gentle sense of humor and the wonderful ability to encourage, support and reassure. She cared for Dad with genuine feeling and compassion in a way that preserved his dignity at the least dignified of times. In his last days, it was Angelica on whom we relied the most, and on whom I believe Dad relied the most, both physically and spiritually.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Angelica would be the perfect candidate for any position she might apply for. I know that you would be as pleased with Angelica as we have been. We cannot recommend her more highly.

Angelica helped care for my 75 year old mother for about 6 weeks after she fractured her pelvis.  Angelica helped transport her to medical appointments, did grocery shopping, assisted my mother with her daily exercises and medications and gave her a lot of support.  Angelica is extremely gentle and kind and unimposing.  She took time to get to know my mother before asserting anything and even then, she always asked permission to make suggestions.  It was a big adjustment for my mother to have a caregiver and she found Angelica very helpful and pleasant to have around.  I strongly recommend her!

Angelica has been an integral part of a care team (three caregivers total for 24/7 care) for my elderly grandfather.
