Experience: 10 yrs
I've been in childcare for more than 15 years, starting in 1999 at Primrose School in Alpharetta, Ga, through several early learning centers including The Goddard School, La Petite Academy and Kids 'R Kids to my current position as a Pre-K teacher with Head Start with Hampton Roads Community Action Program in Newport News. Through all my positions, I've worked with and cared for a range of ages, from 6-week-old infants to 10-year-old after school students. Each age came with their own unique needs and challenges, but figuring out how to get everyone what they needed is the fun part. I'm both MAT and CPR/First Aid certified, have my own reliable transportation and can make care both fun and a learning experience at the same time, while keeping everyone safe. I have a Bachelor degree in Journalism and a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education, and can help improve reading, writing and school readiness skills. I'm also comfortable with pets, as I am owned by a year old cat.
She is an amazing caregiver and also a mom to two little ones herself. She makes sure the kids/ children are very well supervised and also teaching them while they play. She is incredibly helpful with incorporating a fun learning experience into the care she gives. She is one of the only people I trust with my own son who has autism. Your children will love her and be begging you to watch them again.
