About Angela

I'm a certified Home Care Aide and experienced parent, and have worked with and taught people of all ages and abilities. I am also comfortable caring for most pets and livestock. I'd describe my personality as kind, practical, and fun. I've been taking care of people for most of my life. I have experience as a parent of 4 kids, childcare provider, community & activity leader, and instructor. I have also worked in elder care (assisted living and memory care), and caring for people with disabilities. I believe in setting kids up for success, helping them develop the tools and skills they need, modeling calm and kind interactions, and clear boundaries without harsh or punitive methods. A favorite parenting book is How to Talk so Kids Will Listen and Listen so Kids Will Talk, by Faber and Mazlish. With babies my focus is on redirection, setting them up to explore safely, and trying to help them feel secure and connected along with meeting their needs.
