Hi there! I have not had professional training for special needs caring, but at a ripe age of 9 my mom passed away and I have a younger special needs brother I've cared for most of his life. He has about four or five diagnoses, but I have been able to understand him. I was the only one able to know what he wanted or what he would try to say whenever he tried, even though he had no true words out his mouth. Everyone either had to ask me what he was saying or asking, or I had to tell them. Not even my younger siblings understood nor my dad. I felt very special being the only one able to understand him and id hope to try again and help someone else as well.
