Hi! I'm 36 years old and have two children of my own. Both children have special needs, so I'm very knowledgeable in caring for children with special needs. One of my children has ADHD and my second child has a physical disability that causes her to be non-ambulatory. I understand the importance of structure and clear, consistent expectations for a child with ADHD. I also understand how important positive reinforcement is and providing a means to exert energy. I'm comfortable and qualified to do transfers, toileting, bathing and dressing assistance. As a certified Special Education Teacher in mild/moderate mental disabilities I have taught students with a wide range of abilities. I'm looking for some extra summer income since I currently teach Pre-K during the school year.
