Hello, my name is Angela. I have babysat for 5 families in the DFW area so far. I have 10 years of experience engaging with children of various ages via church services such as being a Sunday school teacher and summer camp counselor. Additionally, I worked as a teacher assistant at a Montessori facility where I experienced teaching, feeding, dressing, and soothing infants and toddlers. Having worked as a head lifeguard and swim instructor during my high school years, I am experienced in patron safety, swimming supervision, and coaching. In the event of an emergency, I am CPR certified and know how perform a rescue. ABSOLUTELY recommend Angela! My husband and I hired her for a very unusual childcare position: sibling doula - a one-time, day or night on-call job to care for our 4 children (all under age 9) while we were away having our 5th baby born. We had traveled to Texas from a neighboring state to for the birth of our 5th baby and didn't have any local family to watch our older children. Angela reached out to us through Care.com with completely open availability to be on call. She went above and beyond for our family! In preparation for the day (or night) of need, she came out to our apartment to meet us and the kids, understand what their needs, routines, etc. would be, and ask any additional questions she or we may have had. She is/was VERY prompt to communication! We kept her in the loop with updates as often as we had them, and vice versa. While we didn't have an induction, we had an idea about the time frame we might be meeting baby. During that time frame, she was prepared to recieve a phone call at any time. We didn't have the faster birth we were expecting - rather it dragged out over the course of 24 hours. With that said, it is very noteworthy to mention that Angela was incredibly flexible with what we needed that day/night, and she made sure that WE felt no anxiety or worry whatsoever. Our kids loved her and looked forward to spending time with her! She played games with them, took care of their mealtimes, watched movies and even took them to the pool (which we had previously discussed as being okay with us). We truly feel so blessed to have found her! As we told her, she was the missing puzzle piece we needed while making our plans to have a baby outside our state of residence. We couldn't have done so without her! We are sad that we do not live permanently in the state as Angela because we would be recurring to her again for other babysitting opportunities! Should we come back to have a 6th baby (lol) she will be the first one we reach out to again! Angela - we will miss you!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for your care of our children and service to our family!
