For the past 3 years I've been working privately as an in home Caregiver for a family in Colorado. The man I cared for has type 1 diabetes and dementia. My daily duties included administering insulin and medications, taking vitals, cooking, light cleaning, running errands, transportation to doctor's visits, and companionship. Cooking for a diabetic on a daily basis taught me a great deal about nutrition, in addition to strengthening my cooking skills. Now that I'm back home in Texas, I'd like to continue this type of work. I enjoy the one on one time with people, and the assistance I'm able to provide them.
