I've been on a journey of care since I was a kid, helping my non-verbal autistic twin brother communicate. In high school, I volunteered after school to tutor inner-city students. While I was still in college, I worked at a charter school for some of Philadelphia's most disadvantaged youth. (I got my bachelor's degree from Ithaca College and an unofficial minor in linguistics, and I studied at Cornell.) I was a teaching assistant for a course on critical race theory. I've worked at a media arts camp where I made movies with kids. I even had the chance to work as a counselor and teaching assistant at a juvenile detention center in Rhode Island. Right now, I'm a chess, LEGO, and game coach in an after-school program run by SI ME, a highly respected magnet STEAM school in Los Angeles.
