I have been working in special education for almost three years. I have taught students with various levels of functionality within an autism diagnosis, and have dealt with non-compliant behaviors as well. I have had an opportunity to do some lesson planning with the necessary modifications and accommodations, and have been able to showcase my skills in differentiating programs designed to help the students meet their goals. I have also helped to implement and develop a social skills curriculum. Additionally, I have pursued opportunities in Applied Behavior Analysis by taking classes in ABA, and took the BCBA Exam in August 2014.
