Experience: 13 yrs
With 13 years dedicated to enriching the lives of adults and seniors, I'm deeply committed to their well-being and independence. My college education provides me with a solid foundation for understanding diverse needs. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I offer transportation, personal care, light housekeeping, and more. I adapt to changing routines, de-escalate stressful situations, and handle confusion with patience. I communicate with families through verbal updates, texts, or phone calls, following their preferences. My experiences have instilled in me a compassionate, empathetic, and detail-oriented approach. Supporting adults and seniors is my passion, and I look forward to making a positive impact on your loved one's life. I am originally from Haiti and grew up with a loving mother that helped me understand the value of kindness. I enjoy caregiving as it allows me to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Andre provided the most professional and loving care for my dad Jim. He was a proud man that had been widowed and in the beginning was looking more for companionship and then later needed memory care help. Andre was so kind and respectful with my dad. He watched his favorite tv shows with him and cooked his favorite meals for him. He kept him on his medication schedule as he was diabetic. He also helped monitor his blood sugar levels and reached out to me if they were ever outside the parameters we had set with his doctors. Andre would drive dad to his appointments and sometimes just drive him around to provide a cool break to his routine. When dad got to the point that getting out in the car was hard, Andre would take him around his condo complex in his wheelchair allowing him to stop and talk to neighbors and pet the occasional dog. My dad really loved getting out and Andre was always willing to take him out. Andre also left me daily notes as to how he was going, what he had eaten, and how he felt. Andre would also call if he felt like dad wanted to talk to me. Andre was great at keeping dad’s condo clean and organized. He also allowed dad to dictate what they watched on tv and dad really enjoyed that. We wouldn’t have been able to provide the level of care dad needed without Andre. He was truly our hero.
