Hi family, I have extensive experience in caring for children of all ages and sizes. I do have my own for one and second I am an on call preschool teacher in the city of whittier and have been a preschool teacher for the pasted 18 years . I have my finger prints done through trustline, that is done through the state and there is phone to call to verify who I am. I am updated with my CPR&FIRST AIDE. I also have child development units from a local college. Children at all times are my first priority, I love working with children. I have all reference upon request. I am able to care for children in my home as well . I do arts and crafts, ABCs, 123s, shapes, painting etc. Older kids I help with homework and get involved in there interest. My daughter was in Andrea’s care for several months, and during that time, her language and speech development really blossomed, which I’m genuinely grateful for. Andrea offers general day care with light enrichment, including activities like learning letters, numbers, and colors, along with nature walks and storytime. She also puts effort into organizing themed holiday activities, which the kids always looked forward to. My daughter genuinely enjoyed going each day, seeing her friends, and felt comfortable with Andrea which, as a parent, brought me peace of mind. However, one area of concern was communication around policies. In my experience, Andrea had certain expectations that were never disclosed upfront, yet later treated them as if they were part of the original agreement. This lack of transparency, particularly around payment, deposits, and notice periods, was frustrating and led to unnecessary tension. Overall, Andrea offers basic care with some enrichment, and her daycare can work well for working parents seeking a standard, home-based option. Just be sure to get all terms in writing and ask detailed questions before committing to ensure there are no surprises down the line.
