About Andrea

Engaging, Compassionate and Kind From an early adult age, my work has focused on children and Montessori education and I continue to work in Montessori as a trainer for adult learners. Since semi-retiring, I have discovered I also have a passion for seniors, specifically those with dementia. My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in her late 70s and I assisted my father with her care. I have also volunteered and worked with clients with dementia. Some of the activities introduced and enjoyed include completing daily living skills, puzzles, coloring, singing / dancing to music, enjoying nature, short walks, drives to get coffee and a muffin or to enjoy children playing at the park. My educational background in counseling and my experience in Montessori, based on respect, has made my work with seniors especially rewarding! I am a world traveler, traveling internationally several times a year. A lover of dogs, I have two and also enjoy camping, hiking and outdoor exploration.
