About Andrea

Hello! I have over six years experience working in an afterschool tutoring organization. I primarily work with kids to grade 5, and reading is my primary focus. I also work with a diverse amount of other subjects. I would be able to help walk through middle school homework depending on the level. My approach to tutoring is showing how to take an assignment and break it up into smaller pieces, then mastering those pieces. I love using methods such as putting memorization into song, using games to practice mundane work and imagination to make homework less of a chore. I do not have certification, but I am able to use my communication skills to partner with the teacher in helping your child develop the necessary skills to succeed.
