About Andrea

Hi! My name is Andrea and I have about 12 years of experience caring for children and for the past two and a half years I have worked as a PCA for a group home of vulnerable adults. In child care, I've done a lot of the typical stuff. Driving to/from school and activities, making and giving food, entertaining, etc. I've taken care of kids from newborn to 12 years old. I prefer not to take care of more that one kid at the same time if the kids fight a lot. As for my PCA work, I've driven to activities, taken care of personal needs (showered, toileted, dressed, etc), passed meds, and light cleaning. I've worked with both higher and lower functioning individuals. While I haven't dealt much with wheelchairs I have had to help people up/down to/from a sitting position. Showing respect to the people I serve is what's most important to me. I like to have fun and form friendships with those people while still making sure their needs are met. Also like to inspire the creative spirit.
